Ahemmm... I'm here again ... Here again to reminisce on stuff tat i find it pleasant to me.. LOL .. Well , me & my frenz went to Vivocity on 18th May for a quick bite .

Actally,we intended to go HK Kim Gary Restaurant but the really long queue outside it dampens our spirits .. Haha ... and yet next to HK Kim Gary Restaurant , there is a cafe..A cafe so-called "guarded" by a few small & cute white puppies at the entrance...

My frenz & I skimmed thru e menu outside of the cafe ... we found the pricing reasonable for the main courses and most significantly , it's the cakes & desserts that caught our attention .. Haha ... we then decided 2 eat there .. We were welcomed by a amiable trainee waitress & brought 2 our seats..

Oh gosh ... this cafe has a very light ambience..indeed,the lightings were dim & some jazz music 2 create a relaxing mood ..wahaha .. that music , as i recalled , was by famous Bossa Nova .. Sooo soothing music 2 the ears .. & not forgetting 2 mention that its seats are really comfortable .. There's oso e night scenery view available thru it's glass panels..At that time , Stars' cruise was anchored at Vivocity ... the sight of the cruise was amazing .. Super duper nice! LOL...

Now cums 2 food....we placed our orders .. I had a SMOKED SALMON PIZZA & MOCHA CHEESECAKE...

The food was really delicious!Plus the iced water was served in a cool-lookiing wine bottle...

All in a nutshell , the rating of this cafe is 4 out of 5 stars..HEHEHE...I'm not here 2 publicise for them..cos i m not paid for tat..The reasons for the high score is that -- Friendly stuff , nice ambience & most importtantly , EXCELLENT food .. Finds that i'm talking more & more like a food connoisseur..Whatever.. HAHA..Signing off....

Embarking on the Donuts' Experience

Ravenous by the sight of the 12 donuts above ?LOL .. I was really drooling when i saw it the first time..Probably you can say it's LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT !!.. HAHA ... I stumbled upon this stall selling yummy , mouth-watering and prettily-adorned donuts .. The name of the stall is Donut Factory which is located at Raffles City Shopping Centre , Singapore.. Indeed as the name of the stall suggests , it really is a "factory"churning out a gargantuan amount of donuts of different varieties to cater for the really really long queue awaiting to get their hands of these delicious & pleasant-looking snacks . Needless to say , I am one of them .
After i got them , I opened up the package to try one of them .. The first bite was unforgettable ..It was SIMPLY OISHII!! HMMMMM.....Really a heavenly experience !In the past , I have only eaten donuts with icing sugar .... Yet presented in front of me were such unique flavors that will leave you asking for more .. Real addictive , especially for someone like me who have a sweet tooth ... Hahaha .. Anyway , it should not be consumed in large amounts by people who wanna slim down .. But even if you are watching your diet , it won't harm to eat a few,or maybe all of the 12 donuts .. Just do more exercise to compensate for that few minutes of purely memorable indulgence .. HAHAHAHAHA...Cyaz and hope you try those donuts and you will know whatever I have said was of NO GIMMICKS !!

Finally I'm back here to blog again ... My tormentous exams are over for now {PHEW!!} but there's Design & Innovation project to do during the vacation . It's a whooping 5 weeks of intensive practical training in the Engineering Materials laboratory . Seems like it's an inevitable fact that I will be trained to be a boffin - engineer . LOL ... And by the way , I will be involved in the creation of a prototype - HeartBeat Detecting Wristband .. Of course , there will be professors to supervise the project . Well , I shall end here because of the fact that I'm enervated .. Signing off and to be continued .

Haiz .... School has started ... This semester is the toughest i suppose .. Taking 7 subjects , namely AC Circuits & Machines , Semi-Conductor , Issues in Crime and Punishment , Impact of Chemistry on Society, Engineering Maths 2, Analog & Digital Electronics .... STRESSED !!

OKIE ... got to go ... with sooo many subjects on hand ... how can i write a long entry today or any other day ... better spend my time doing some fruitful revision than staying around here writing crap ... lol ...

Home-Made Tiramisu

Sigh .... School term is starting soon ( = imminent doom .. lol ) .. Hmmmm ... but before school actually gets into full swing , I better cherish every moment now ... Hehehe ... Okies ... just here to celebrate the 'Charmed Ones' success in making a TIRAMISU ... lol ...I remembered that we( 'CHARMED ONES' ) actually spent 6 hours in John's kitchen creating a TIRAMISU from scratch .... from a small bottle of rum + coffee , a tin of Max Brenner's CHoc powder + some Maxproner cheese i think spelt that way + egg whites + cookies ) ...

It was really the first time we engage in dessert making .. HEHE .. We had a recipe placed in our kitchen .. Mind u .. we won't spend our precious money on cookery books .. wahaha .. What we had is a laptop..since we are already living in a modern and contemporary world... with a recipe obtained from the bottomless pit of information storage ( that's the WEB ... not Spider's Web or Charlotte's Web ... heeee ... it's INTERNET ) ... Apologies for me being sooo lame ... hehe..It showed us all those ingredients ... steps we need to adhere strictly to in order for our TIRAMISU to successfully appear in front of our eyes rather than a pile of sh@# with flies circling above it .. ( u should know what i'm saying .. don't need to be so direct ... lol ) ...

Processing all those ingredients really was time-consuming .. But 'Charmed Ones' will always persevere ... cos we r known for that virtue .. hehe... only within us ... but since i wrote it here already ... Now u oso know .. right!! The person reading my pieces of crap ...lol ... Just kidding ...The choc powder we used was Max Brenner's ...with its origins from Israel .. Smells heavenly n liftens one's mood ...feels like u're in Wonderland... Over-exaggeration.. heehee ( Not DRUGS okie !!! hehe...cos the way i depicts it has its similarities to DRUGS ...wahaha ... and yeah , STAY away from DRUGS but KEEP close to Max Brenner's choc powder ... whatever (*_*) ) Each of The CHARMED ONES had his role to play .. since this was a group effort ... We divided the job and spent 6 hours in the kitchen .. hoping to conjure up some magical miracle ...

And so it went ... seconds ticking away ..Minutes passing .. Hours ambling ...FINALLY ... END RESULT : THE ABOVE PICTURE IS OUR FIRST EXPERIMENTAL SUCCESS .. To us , it looks sooo pleasant and most significant .. mouth-watering ... Hmmm...we wondered at that point of time ... maybe we can use chocolate of different brands..for instance like ROYCE , CADBURY,MERCI,GODIVA and others to create a fantastic TIRAMISU .. enhancing it with choc chips ... cookies .. milk choc .. THAT i believe will be the ultimate ...Hehehe ... If it's a success the next time we try .. then maybe we will be on our way to establishing the first-ever CHOCOLATE KINGDOM in Singapore ... serving and delighting customers with our splendid culinary arts ... heehehehehe ...

THINK too much already ... maybe cos school starting soon then no time to DAY-DREAM ...so I do it now .. bring my DAY-DREAMING forward lest it affects my studies.. LOL..

X ' Mas 2006 Cuisine !

It's been ages since I have written any crap on my blog ... heehee .. Well , today the topic I like to talk about is FOOD !! Haha ... so obvious rite .. the picture above already depicts what this short paragraph of mine is about ...As u may have noticed , I'm quite infatuated with anything that has an inextricably connection to Japanese stuff ... be it food , travel , technology , art etc ...

I'm an individual who is always in search of a truly Japanese experience ... similar to the analogy that a truly religious personnel in his quest for enlightenment will willingly travel miles to the shrine to make his or her worshipping ... but my perseverance is not that intense ... HEHEHE ...

Nevertheless, I just have a liking for Japanese Cuisine , especially the well-known sushi and sashimi.I believe that taste and visual pleasure converge in both these delicacies .. lol ... The Japanese dining experience involves all the senses.Unlike the fork and spoon , for instance , the chopsticks convey to the hand a sense of tactile rapport with the food .. hehehe ..that's my opinion ... though it seems preposterous or ridiculous to u ... (told u that my blog is my cumulative pieces of crappy writings intended to satisfy my hands yearning urge to write...HEHEHE...) ... still got some more crap philosophies i came up with when I ate Japanese food some time ago ... tat's my inspirations ... hahaha.... n it follows...Small bowls of soup raised to the mouth with the hand convey the warmness or coolness of their ingredients..The loud slurping of noodles indicates the splendidness of the food n it's something used to compliment the superb culinary skills of the chef ... apparently with the chef nearby .... so he can hear and b contented .... WAHAHAHA ...

Okies...my hands have 'told' me that they r done with the writings and they want me to end it here ... WAHAHAHA...must 'listen' to them or else they might just wring my neck ...on the account of revenge that i made them do so much typing ( which equals to pure slavery) ... It's an undeniable fact that sushi are mouth-watering ...but yet people can think of presenting sushi in such a cute manner as above ...It's a remarkable & worth-noting master-piece.... Not only is it pleasantly adorned & embellished with fish roes , it has the ability to depict the culture of the Japanese...{Guess it !! } ..LOL...It's burying one-self in hot volcanic sands,claimed to have therapeutic health benefits yet relaxing....
Looks cute but do u bear to eat it ?? I believe u will say " It's sushi;so it's meant to be eaten..if not,it will perish oso ... y waste food?"...LOL..that's a general assumption that I have for who ever is reading this section ...

Hahaha...the competitive race will soon begin & we will,not knowingly,engage in tormentous mugging & on our arduous way to deciphering the so-called " Sanskrit scripts " { which means really incomprehensible stacks of lecture notes of paramount concern in urgent need of understanding .. heehee}

EXAMS are here again ..I'm here to blog just to escape from the mere stressed-up, heretic life I'm facing this exact moment.{Sadness}..It's always the usual , drudgery of repetitious "downloading of information into my passé, antediluvian brain that doesn’t seems to work “..Hahaha…Wateva I’m trying to say. .LOL. Actually, I’m supposed to be in here to vent all my frustrations I have during this stressed-up period .But I think I should not be such a cantankerous person. LOL…Such a heavy workload on me really leaves me breathless{No asthma also will get it.. kidding la}..For those suffering the same fate as me…I hope u don’t suffer that too…but if u do, try to get some relaxing music & indulge in them ...let them spice up your life & wash away all those restlessness you feel during this heretic period..I like the saying”Music is part of me.The only way you can separate music from me is thru surgical means”..LOL…anything to do with wat I’m trying to say here?I doubt so..Wahahaha..brain is starting to malfunction becos of information overloading…or saturation point has been reached..Threshold level of stress endurance has reached its ultimate limit…and any means to push beyond that..will certainly lead to demise of me..Hahaha..too serious repercussion for me..I over-exaggerated that..Haiz..Think I’m done with my whining of how pathetic, monotonous life I’m leading now..Back to mugging now...SAVE ME!!Wahahaha…One last shout-out b4 I disappear from here..”Exams are really slaughtering,murdering me..Or they r juz wringing my neck till nothing left of me.”

Japan's trains turn travel into an art

Been to Japan,the one thing that i love most is to have a ride in those shinkansens (aka bullet trains) .Shinkansen means"new trunk line" ,is a technological symbol of Japan to the world but it's not the only train plying the islands. For me,i find that the train travel is a life experience in itself in which the journey can be more important than the destination.
I find that the Japanese likes to have the biggest,smallest or fastest thing in the world..That's my opinion...HAHA..U can beg to differ or agree with me..If u going to differ with my view..remember to state your criticisms in a "positive" way...For those who have learnt Effective Communication..U should know what i mean...LOL...

My passion in life is travelling(love it but need to work to fuel the expenses..sadness)..Anyway.i believe that WANDERLUST is in my nature.I really love to visit new places & learn more about the humongous world that i'm living in..Unravelling the mysteries that enable each country to have their own distinctiveness in this world..thus churning up endless surprises in the process..HAHA..The one unique place in the world that has caught my attention is Japan.Why is that so??Many reasons though...lol..Let me catch my breath before i continue..Well,few countries make such conflicting claims on the imagination of Japan...Really!!NO GIMMICKS..

The mere mention of the word Japan will lead one to set off a cascade of contrary images:pristine temples{aka shrines} yet co-existing simultaneously with futuristic,contemporary cities ;kimono-clad geishas ambering down the alleys of Kyoto and suit-clad businessmen galore rushing to work;mist-shrouded hills that offer spectacular scenery for travellers & locals alike to indulge in and lightning fast bullet trains on the run;quaint-thatched roofed villages and grand skyscrapers designed by prominent architects.

Amazingly,this different aspects which one might deem weird to be able to piece together,just like a jig-saw puzzle,blended well and have no conflict with one another.This peculiar synthesis of the contemporary & the traditional is one of the things that make travel in Japan so fun.Then there's Japanese food.No matter how much u have eaten outside the country,nothing can be compared to how delicious & presentable the genuine article is when served in its home country.Whether it's impossibly fresh sushi in Tokyo or the Hiroshima-yaki in Hiroshima...you will certainly find yourself spoilt for choices..LOL...

The lingering taste on my tongue - Loving Andersen's Of Denmark

It was my 1st time trying Andersen's Of Denmark ... LOL..I went to the Suntec branch with my frenz - Gilbert & John ( whenever we-me,Jian De(absent from the outing but spiritually with us...I can sense tat cos we share telepathy..wahaha),Gilbert & John r together , we often termed ourselves as the " Charmed Ones" - a name we adopt for fun ) ...the 3 of us were enervated from the arduous , tormentous roaming of the gargantuan shopping mall...thus ,we decided 2 give Andersen's a try . We were seriously in need of rest(old already wat) and also,in need of something 2 satisfy our endless & bottomless wants for pure luxury & scrumptious desserts ..HAHA ..

Though we knew the prices r exorbitant(we FEEL that way),we still find ways to splurge on nice & delicious stuff,even though we knew we should not...{feel guilty for spending money unnecessarily..}...HAHA..but then life has to be enjoyed ( a cliche i suppose..watever).So we went to order our desserts...("_")

We ordered RUM & RAISIN + Choc Ice-creams...2 scoops to be shared among the Charmed Ones...The waitress who served us gave us a lackadaisical look..probably due to working long hours(slavery i suppose..)..But then the desserts in front of us were like gems shining in brillance(out of point-digress liao..lol)...we were so estatic about the presentation of the desserts...We r a bit deranged..hahaha..We went ahead with our usual routine...tat's to take photos...To capture that moment of happiness & cheerfulness on our faces...LOL..So that it's etched in our memory...Lame though..watever..The Charmed Ones always like to do strange & bizzare things...Tat's wat defines the Charmed Ones....We make every moment of our time as CHARMING as we can....cos we CHERISH every moment in life....Tat's us!!!
